Join the Mockingbird PTA

The cost to join is $10. Your Mockingbird PTA membership also gives you membership in Texas and National PTAs. You can sign up online or using a paper membership form that's available from the Mockingbird front office. Membership is open throughout the year; however, the deadline to receive a printed PTA directory is September 27.

 

We hope you will consider joining our PTA if you are not already a member. However, beyond joining the PTA, we strongly encourage you to get involved in whatever way feels most comfortable to you. Whether it is attending a PTA meeting, volunteering in a classroom, or assisting a teacher by taking a project home, it all makes a difference.

FAQs

Will I have to go to meetings?
No. PTA Members are welcome to attend PTA Board Meetings, but not required.

 

Do I need to volunteer or spend a lot of time at the school?
No. PTA Members are not required to volunteer, though we encourage everyone to be as involved as their schedule allows because it's fun. (This page has more information about volunteering.) 

 

Do I have to include all of my information in the PTA directory?
Nope. While a PTA Member benefit is receiving access to a secure, online MES directory, families are not required to include their contact information. When registering on this website, simply mark the checkbox to indicate whether you want your info to be included in the directory.
