Mockingbird Elementary auction

What is the Mockingbird auction?

Auction is a fun night out with the MES community that includes dinner, drinks, music, as well as an opportunity to participate in an auction that raises money for our school. Funds raised at auction are distributed to areas of need throughout the school, everything from teachers' projects and field trips to supporting the Mockingbird Garden and the Peace Pantry. It's the largest fundraiser of the year—you don't want to miss it. 

Theme

This year's theme is "Mockingbird All-Stars." Come dressed as your favorite sports icon, mascot, super fan or movie character.  

Auction format and items

Throughout the night there will be many exciting items to bid on through multiple auction formats, including a silent auction and a live auction. Items include Mockingbird experiences (special opportunities involving the school), Marquee messages (personalize the Mockingbird marquee), framed art (by grade), vacations, and the ever-popular sign-ip parties (Mockingbird parents host a small group of the winning bidders, may be adults only or family). Tickets 

Auction tickets are on sale! Event tickets are $75 per person, which includes open bar with unlimited food and drink plus access to bid on all silent auction items. 

Auction merchandise 

Mockingbird All-Stars t-shirts and hats will be available for order this year. Be on the lookout for a pre-order link soon.

Sign-up parties

Sign-up parties are some of the best MES social events and a great way to meet other Mockingbird families. They are hosted by MES parents or caregivers throughout the school year. The parties have various themes. Examples include a cocktail class, a yoga class, progressive dinners, and more. There are events for kids, too, such as swim parties, tea parties, and cooking classes. Tickets are limited, which makes them hot items at the auction (they go fast).

In addition, if you or a group of friends would like to host a sign-up party, start getting your ideas and prospective dates together.

VIP tickets

A VIP Ticket gets early access for purchasing sign-up parties as well as access to the VIP reception. Make sure you snag your VIP Ticket through a sponsorship or when tickets go on sale on March 21st. Only a limited number of VIP Tickets will be available.

Live auction 

The live auction will take place at the event. There are always amazing items to bid on including trips, the grade-level kids' art, the coveted MES parking spot, and more. Our live auctioneer will lead a rousing good time during this part of the evening.

Online bidding 

Online bidding will be available for the silent auction. Grandparents, other family, and friends who want to support our school will be able to register to bid using the auction website when tickets go on sale.  

Other ways to support the auction 

We hope everyone can purchase a ticket and attend the auciont, but there are other ways to get involved, too, including: 

• Donate items to the silent or live auction—merchandise, gift cards, experience packages, event tickets, the use of vacation homes, etc.

• Host a sign-up party with friends

• Make a donation to purchase a teacher’s ticket (Coming Soon)

• Volunteer to help with the event
