Dress code

Dallas ISD requires that all students wear standardized dress. (See details and examples.) Note that clear Backpacks must be used by all students. Normal lunchboxes are okay.

For dress-up days, please keep in mind that costumes:

• Cannot contain weapons (real or toys)
• Must not depict horror characters, gang, profanity, or be overly gory/scary
• May not demean race, religion, nationality, or gender
• Must be appropriate for a full day of learning

For safety purposes, students are asked to wear sneakers with their costumes. 

School day start and end times

For the 2024 - 2025 school year, the first day of school is August 12, 2024. 

Please note new school hours for 2024-2025. School will begin at 8:00 am. Students arriving after 8:00 am will be considered tardy and need to pick up a tardy slip from the front office before going to their classroom. After-school pick up is on the white top at 3:20 pm. Please pick up your children in a timely manner as many teachers need to return to their classrooms for clean-up or tutoring.
