Highlights: week of January 20
- Mockingbird's 2025 Auction is April 25, 2025 at Brake and Clutch Warehouse. Get more information on ticket sales, sponsorships, and other ways you can get involved.
- The library is getting a makeover! Check out details.
- Candygrams are on sale from now until Friday, January 24, during lunch.
- Passport Week (Vietnam!) is coming soon. Passport Week open house will be Tuesday, January 28 from 4:30 - 6:00pm.
- The fifth-grade class gets extra space in the yearbook, so fifth-grade parents are encouraged to submit additional photos and yearbook dedications. Photos can be submitted to messtarsyearbook@gmail.com and dedications can be submitted using this form.
- Spring movie night will be February 28 from 6 - 9pm.
- The Dad's Club cornhole tournament has been rescheduled to March 22.
Volunteer/Donate
- You can sign up to sell candygrams during your child's lunch break this week.
- Volunteers are needed to talk at career day on March 7. You can sign up here if you're interested.
- Support the Peace Pantry, a donation-based service run by the Mockingbird PTA that provides support to the families in our school facing food insecurity.
- Remember, if you'd like to volunteer, you have to register or renew your VOLY account with DISD each year.
Reminders
- Free dental clinics are available across Dallas. Check out this resource for locations and qualifying criteria.

dallasisd.org . - If you are VOLY approved, you may visit your student during their lunch time on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
